Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale
Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their comedy series about a close-knit group of likable chancers causing chaos in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a greatest hits victory lap of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode seemingly influenced by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

An especially moving installment weaves the stories of a lame shire horse and a missing young cow into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a brotherly confrontation.

The journey has been lengthy. Yet the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping series about phone hacking sees David Tennantās Nick uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply canāt ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.
