Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their comedy series about a close-knit group of likable chancers causing chaos in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a greatest hits victory lap of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode seemingly influenced by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Dragons’ Den

8pm on BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as mothers Laura and Stacey present their line of adaptive dance attire – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Then, an ophthalmologist turned innovator has a clever gadget for lost tape ends.

The Series All Creatures Great and Small

9pm, Channel 5
The animal-related escapades are generally good, but this excellent historical series earns its corn with tender character work. An especially moving installment weaves the stories of a lame shire horse and a missing young cow into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a brotherly confrontation.

The Drama The Hack

9pm on ITV1
The journey has been lengthy. Yet the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping series about phone hacking sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Prepare for enthusiastic gestures: it’s time to present Peter Pansy – The Musical! That means the stress increases for the drag performers to sing, dance, act and ultimately slay as they get ready for the show. And what better guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, together with the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.

The Series The Iris Affair

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Anyone afraid of insects will want to fast-forward as the sixth episode starts, before a tense standoff, reminiscent of a Mexican or Sardinian scenario ensues, when Cameron forces Iris to swap her diary for the captured Joy – else she’ll be ā€œriddled with bulletsā€ from Meski’s menacing drone … How to get out of this one?
