Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who breached a fence and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account contains clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to see the performers of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and received ten Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
